- In the next 20 years in China, over 300 million people will be moving from rural regions to urban areas driving unprecedented demand for the infrastructure and facilities for housing, manufacturing, commercial and public services. The 2006-2010 FYP estimated that it would require 10,000 new hospitals in the next 30 years to serve the increased healthcare demand as the healthcare industry is shifting to western style health services.
